3 tips to stay successful after implementation

After performing at the top of your abilities, the finish is finally there: the go-live. With it, you will be fully supported by the consultant who has brought you this far. However, when everything runs smoothly and stably, it is time for you to sit in the driver’s seat yourself. How do you do so successfully? We have listed the top three tips:

1. Give the new solution time to land

The implementation and go-live have quite an effect on your operation. From the way you work to the opinions of everyone who works with the system. Simply said: everything is new. Your key users have gotten to know the system while working intensively with it each day. However, your other colleagues still have to get used to it. Therefore, give the solution time to land with everyone in the organization. Collect experiences and signals from end-users. Plan, for example, internal evaluations and talk to the end-users about the basis for the choices that were made during the implementation.

2. Stay true to the scope

For the same reason, do not aim for change immediately after going live. Instead, stay focused on the processes that were configured during implementation. End users will be working with the software more intensively each day and will come forward with questions or tips. From ‘What does this button do?’ to ‘This function might be helpful’ and ‘the system can do more, right?’. Then, it is the key-users’ job not to diverge from the path but improve those bits that make the process even more efficient.

3. Optimize if necessary

As said, your operation does not stand still. Without a doubt, new demands from new or existing customers will drive your processes to be adjusted. Discover what is already possible within the standard, collect experiences from users, and decide what is worth investing in. Think for example of your scan processes. Or, maybe a customer needs a completely new module. In these cases, Boltrics will gladly help you on your way!

Keep moving forward

Continuing to move forward is a must to prevent falling behind on the competition. However, also continue to invest in the knowledge of your colleagues to be able to implement the most recent functionalities yourself. On the Boltrics Academy, over 40 e-learnings are available to improve your skills. Discover the possibilities here.
